The New York City Council has passed the SCOOP Act, which is designed to get more people to scoop their dog’s poop by adding dog waste dispensers to public trash cans, starting a volunteer-led dog waste composting program, enrolling out a public education campaign and hosting dog meet ups in city parks featuring NYC’s Honorary Dog Mayor Simon and Deputy Dog Mayor Pepper.
